WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

Aim - To teach young children about the importance of nature to us and how its distraught can harm us.
On environment day the NGO held various activities for young children, a drawing competition was held, children were asked to draw out of their immaculate imagination a poster on the theme of world environment day. Children let their hands glide through the paper with sparkling colors filled in them and made beautiful posters from which 3 were chosen to be winners of the drawing competition, the winners were rewarded with coloring books, chocolate bars and colour sketch pen packets.
Following this a plantation drive was also completed. Children with their own hands planted the little saplings in the ground, covered them with dirt and manure and watered them. Many such little saplings were planted and children enjoyed planting them. Some children even gleefully asked when would the saplings turn into a tree. Children learned a few very important lessons like how our planet, the whole human kind is dependent on the well being of nature and how terrorising it can be if the balance of the ecology is lost.
