In our societies there are certain facilities known as Basic Human Rights, things like ‘Right to Life’, ‘Freedom from Slavery’, ‘Freedom of Opinion and Expression’ and many more. In some countries amenities like water and electricity are also considered Basic Human Rights, in some Education is also a Basic Human Right. India too has Education as a Basic Human Right but it is yet to be implemented in a proper way.Education is indeed a facility which should be provided for free, to everyone, irrespective of their caste, creed, race or economical status. Alas, that is not what happens in our society, resulting in numerous of young children without any formal education.
We, here at TRPWS work to eradicate this problem as much is in our capacity. Project Shiksha is the project that TRPWS leads with, providing funds for students to complete formal education and to pursue their future endeavours. Our NGO has helped kids in diverse age groups, as young as 3 years old and as old as a high schooler. At the grass root level Project Shiksha helps younglings with basic education, teaching them how to write, read and draw. We also organize Quizzes, Drawing Competitions, Physical Activities including competitions like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Football to boost their overall development. Other features of our Project Shiksha are Motivational Talk Events, Plantation Drives, Workshops on various topics like, Hygiene, difference between Good-Touch and Bad-Touch, Behaviour Management, etc so that students not only get access to formal education but also to all those things which are essential in life, which can not be learned only by getting educated.
